10 Teacher Appreciation Week Gift Ideas

Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner! If you’re looking for a gift to show your appreciation to a colleague, you’ve come to the right place. From a thoughtful note to a wrapped present, there are lots of ways to show you care during this dedicated week, month, and, of course, the entire school year.

Regular readers of the blog know that I love putting together gift guides of my favorite teacher-friendly items. I’ll link to a bunch at the bottom of this post to explore.

So today, I have some gift ideas that are perfect for Teacher Appreciation Week. I’ve pulled them all together in a collection on my Amazon storefront. You’ll find some other collections there, too. You’ll find books written by podcast guests and some of my favorite reads from the last year.

10 Teacher Appreciation Week Gift Ideas

As you take a look at the list below, you might have a favorite you’d like to see included. And, of course, I’d love to hear all about it! Send me a DM on Instagram or Bluesky. Or reply to one of my Monday newsletters (I read every message I get).

Travel Hand Sanitizer

This three-pack of hand sanitizer is perfect for a quick gift for more than one educator. Each pack includes different scents (I almost said flavors!) that I think your recipient will enjoy. I received one of these in my stocking this past Christmas. And now it’s become a regular fixture in my travel routine.

Portable Fan

Whether it’s toasty right now or the weather is about to change, this portable fan is a lot of fun and ready for just about anything. It has a flexible tripod clip that lets you attach it to plenty of different places. And Amazon often has it on sale, too.

Fun Cookbook

I snagged this for my husband when it was on sale on Amazon. He absolutely loved this fun pizza cookbook! Whether the teacher you have in mind loves pizza, cupcakes, or another item, you can surely find a cookbook with that unique theme.

Pack of Markers

You can’t go wrong with a pack of markers for Teacher Appreciation Week. I love this pack from Sharpie since it has lots of different colors to choose from. I love to send out notes and postcards! So the blues and greens (like my ClassTechTips and Easy EdTech Podcast colors) get a lot of traction.

Freezable Snack Bag

One of the best purchases I made this year was this freezable snack bag, which is perfect for travel. I love to pack “purse snacks” for busy days. This small bag is handy for anything you’d like to keep chilled. I put it in the freezer the night before I want to use it, and it takes up way less real estate in my backpack or purse than a traditional lunch bag.

Tablet Stand

In the same way that the hand sanitizer three-pack can be used as gifts for a few people on your to-do list, this tablet stand comes as a two-pack. It’s great for all sorts of devices, and you can use it with whatever phone, tablet, or small screen you’d like to display. Even if you’re not sure what the “primary device” of the recipient is, it will certainly come in handy for them.

Photobook

Another two-for-one on this list is the photo album for 5×7 or 4×6 photos. I bought this in January as a way to keep the Christmas cards we received in 2024 all in one place. You might fill this up with a few notes of positive encouragement or appreciation or print a few photos to help them get started filling the pages.

Sesame Street Socks

Whether the teacher you are showing appreciation to works with students who love Sesame Street or they just love fun socks, this five-pack is a great option. My niece loves Sesame Street, so I bought these as a present for my father, who loves to make her laugh.

Silly Mug

The world (and Amazon) is full of silly mugs. If you’re looking for one that might make a teacher in your life laugh, check out this “You’re My National Treasure” mug that pokes fun at the Nicholas Cage movie. It might not be the perfect gift for everyone you want to show appreciation to, but I bought this as a white elephant gift this school year, and it was a big hit!

Good Night Books

If you’d like to give books for Teacher Appreciation Week gifts, check out this fun series of Good Night board books. Perfect for a classroom library or for someone with a little one in their life, you can choose from lots of places that they feature. I have gifted half a dozen of the Good Night Delaware books to friends who I went to the University of Delaware with, and a handful of Good Night New Jersey ones, too.

Prepare for Teacher Appreciation Week

As you prepare for Teacher Appreciation Week, finding the right gift doesn’t have to be a challenge. Whether you opt for something practical like a portable fan, a sentimental photo book, or a fun pair of Sesame Street socks, the key is choosing something that makes the recipient feel valued. Small tokens of appreciation can go a long way in showing gratitude for the educators who dedicate their time and energy to students every day. And if a physical gift isn’t the right fit, a heartfelt note or message can be just as meaningful.
